Scheduling and Automation

Schedules automate the process of running prompts, allowing for continuous and consistent intelligence gathering without manual intervention. This is essential for building historical data, tracking trends over time, and ensuring your competitive insights are always up-to-date.

This guide covers how to create, manage, and optimize schedules for your analysis runs.

All schedule management is handled on the Schedules page.

  1. Log in to your Bourd account.
  2. Navigate to the Schedules section in the main navigation.

Before creating a schedule, you must have:

  1. From the Schedules page, click the Create Schedule button.

  2. The Create Schedule modal will open. Configure the following options:

    • Schedule Name: A descriptive name for the schedule (e.g., “Weekly Competitor Check,” “Daily Brand Monitoring”).
    • Frequency: The interval at which the schedule will run.
      • Weekly: Runs on specific days of the week (e.g., every Monday and Friday).
      • Monthly: Runs on specific days of the month (e.g., the 1st and 15th).
    • Days: Select the specific days for the run based on the chosen frequency.
    • AI Models: Select which AI models to query for each run.
  3. Click Create Schedule.

The new schedule will now appear on the Schedules page.

You can manage your existing schedules directly from the cards on the Schedules page.

  1. Locate the schedule you wish to modify.
  2. Click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  3. Update the configuration in the modal and click Save.

You can temporarily disable a schedule without deleting it.

  • To Pause: Click the Pause icon on an active schedule. It will no longer execute until it is resumed.
  • To Resume: Click the Play icon on a paused schedule to reactivate it.
  1. Locate the schedule you wish to remove.
  2. Click the Delete (trash) icon.
  3. Confirm the deletion in the prompt.

Important: Deleting a schedule is permanent and cannot be undone. This action only removes the schedule itself; it does not delete any of the prompts or historical completion data associated with it.

  • Timing: All schedules are executed based on UTC time. Runs are typically initiated in the early morning hours ( e.g., between 12:00 and 04:00 UTC) on the scheduled day.
  • Run History: The results of scheduled runs can be viewed on the **Results ** page, alongside any manual runs.
  • Use Schedules for Consistency: Automated schedules are the best way to build a reliable historical dataset for trend analysis. Manual runs are better for ad-hoc testing and spot checks.
  • Balance Frequency and Cost: weekly schedules provide the most up-to-date data but consume more credits. Monthly schedules offer a good balance for most standard monitoring needs.
  • Group by Objective: Create separate schedules for different strategic objectives (e.g., a “Brand Reputation” schedule that runs weekly vs. a “Broad Competitor Analysis” schedule that runs monthly).
  • Required Role: Admin or Owner.
  • Users with the Member role can view schedules but cannot create, edit, or delete them.
  • Schedule Not Running:
    • Verify the schedule is not paused.
    • Ensure your account has sufficient credits. Scheduled runs will be skipped if the credit balance is too low.
    • Check that the prompts included in the schedule are still active and have not been deleted.
  • Runs are Failing: If runs initiated by a schedule are failing, check the Results page for error details. The issue is likely with the prompt or a temporary model API problem, not the schedule itself.
