Account and Workspace Setup

This guide covers the initial setup process for your Bourd account and your first workspace.

An Account represents your organization and manages billing, subscriptions, and high-level team membership.

You can create an account using either your email address or Google OAuth.

  • Google OAuth (Recommended): Click “Sign in with Google” and follow the prompts to authorize your account.
  • Email (Passwordless): Enter your name and email. A temporary one-time password (TOTP) will be sent to your email address. Each time you re-authenticate you will be sent a new TOTP..

A Workspace is a container for a specific project or brand. It isolates all related data, including:

  • Brands and Competitors
  • Prompts
  • Analysis Results
  • Schedules
  • Team members and permissions specific to that workspace

All data is scoped to a single workspace. This structure is designed for clean data separation.

It is common to use multiple workspaces to manage different contexts, such as:

  • Separate product lines or brands within a portfolio.
  • Agency work, with one workspace per client.
  • Different environments (e.g., Production Monitoring vs. Testing).

After creating your account, you will be prompted to create your first workspace.

  1. Enter a Workspace Name: This should be a descriptive name for the project (e.g., “Acme SaaS Monitoring,” “Client X Project”).
  2. Click Create Workspace.

You will be redirected to the dashboard of your new workspace. The URL will follow the pattern geo.bourd.dev/{workspace-slug}.

Your account and workspace are now set up. Before you can run an analysis, you must complete two required configuration steps:

  1. Set Up Your Brand and Competitors: Define the primary brand and competitors for this workspace.
  2. Create Your First Prompt: Write the questions you want to ask the AI models.

After completing these steps, you will be ready to Run Your First Analysis.
