Prompts & Completions
Section titled “Prompts & Completions”What’s the difference between a prompt and a completion?
Section titled “What’s the difference between a prompt and a completion?”- Prompt: Your question or query that simulates a real user asking an AI model for information (e.g., “What are the best CRM tools for small businesses?”).
- Completion: The AI-generated response to your prompt, which Bourd then analyzes for brand mentions, rankings, and citations.
How many prompts can I create?
Section titled “How many prompts can I create?”You can create unlimited prompts on all plans. Bourd’s pricing is based on completions, not the number of prompts or brands you track.
How long does it take to generate a completion?
Section titled “How long does it take to generate a completion?”Most completions are generated in 30-90 seconds, depending on the complexity of your prompt and the response time of the underlying AI model.
Scheduling
Section titled “Scheduling”What time zones do schedules use?
Section titled “What time zones do schedules use?”All schedules run in UTC timezone. Please plan your schedules accordingly, considering the conversion to your local time.
Can I pause a schedule temporarily?
Section titled “Can I pause a schedule temporarily?”Yes. On the Schedules page, you can pause any active schedule. It will not run again until you resume it.
Why didn’t my scheduled run execute?
Section titled “Why didn’t my scheduled run execute?”Common reasons include:
- The schedule is paused.
- Your account has insufficient credits.
- The prompts included in the schedule were deleted.
- A temporary service outage occurred (check status.bourd.dev).
Usage & Billing
Section titled “Usage & Billing”How is usage calculated?
Section titled “How is usage calculated?”Bourd runs completions via official model APIs, which allows us to meter usage for each individual completion. Each completion consumes a unique amount of tokens based on the size and complexity of your prompt and the model’s response.
Bourd displays the exact token cost (in credits) for each completion, which lets you optimize your spend. Our usage-based pricing model means your subscription gives you a number of credits per month, and each completion contributes towards the usage of that volume.
How can I track my current usage?
Section titled “How can I track my current usage?”If you have sufficient permissions on the account, you can see your remaining credit balance for the month in the sidebar of the application.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
Section titled “What happens if I exceed my plan limits?”When plan limits are exceeded, you will get an INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS error on any new completion attempts. Scheduled
runs will be skipped.
To continue running prompts, you will need to either wait for your subscription to renew the following month or manually purchase top-up credits. There is no mechanism for running a deficit or for overage billing in Bourd.
Top-up credits have a 12-month expiry period, so we suggest pre-purchasing additional capacity if you are concerned about running out of credits during a critical period.
How does billing work across multiple workspaces?
Section titled “How does billing work across multiple workspaces?”Billing is done at the Account level. All workspaces within an account share the same credit pool. There is currently no way to allocate a specific budget per workspace. We do plan on supporting this if we receive sufficient demand. Please reach out to us if this is important for you.
How are users and workspaces priced?
Section titled “How are users and workspaces priced?”Bourd does not have any seat-based pricing. All plans include unlimited users and unlimited workspaces at no additional cost. A single user can also be a member of multiple accounts.
Our pricing is based purely on usage (i.e., credits consumed by completions), allowing you to collaborate with your entire team and organize your work across as many projects as you need.
API Access
Section titled “API Access”Does Bourd have an API?
Section titled “Does Bourd have an API?”Yes. All plans have API access included for free. However, the API is currently in a private beta while it stabilizes. Please contact us to be onboarded for API usage.
Are there rate limits?
Section titled “Are there rate limits?”The API is not currently rate-limited due to its private beta status. However, we reserve the right to throttle any usage that we feel is exceeding fair use volumes. We will formalize and publish official rate limits upon the public release of the API.
Data & Privacy
Section titled “Data & Privacy”Is my data secure?
Section titled “Is my data secure?”Yes. We take security very seriously and use industry-standard best practices to protect your data, including:
- Encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS).
- Passwordless authentication flows to reduce attack vectors.
- Regular third-party security audits.
Can I export my data?
Section titled “Can I export my data?”Yes. You can export your data at any time. Options include exporting analysis results to CSV or using the API for programmatic access.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”My completions are not relevant.
Section titled “My completions are not relevant.”Try refining your prompts. The more specific and aligned your prompt is with a real user query, the better the result. Avoid giving instructions and instead ask questions. See Writing Effective Prompts for tips.
Citations are missing or incorrect.
Section titled “Citations are missing or incorrect.”If citations seem off, it could be because the AI model chose not to provide any for that specific query, or the source it used is no longer public. If you believe there is a technical error, please report the issue to support@bourd.dev with the completion ID.
I can’t sign in.
Section titled “I can’t sign in.”Make sure you are using the correct, registered email for our passwordless flow. If you continue to have issues, please contact support@bourd.dev.
