Organizing prompts with tags
Tags help you organize and manage your prompt library as it grows. You can create custom labels, assign them to prompts, filter your view, and use tags to target specific prompts in automated schedules.
This guide covers how to create, assign, and manage tags effectively.
Accessing tags
Section titled “Accessing tags”Tags are managed directly from the Prompts page. You can:
- View existing tags in the filter bar at the top of the page
- Assign tags by clicking on any prompt’s tag area
- Bulk-assign tags by selecting multiple prompts
Creating tags
Section titled “Creating tags”Tags can be created inline while assigning them to prompts. There is no separate tag management page.

When creating or editing a schedule, you can:
- Select specific tags to include in the schedule
- The schedule will run all active prompts that have any of the selected tags
- As you add or remove tags from prompts, the schedule automatically includes or excludes them
Organize prompts by campaign, product line, or analysis type, and schedule them accordingly.
Example Workflow:
- Tag all competitive analysis prompts with “competitors”
- Create a weekly schedule targeting the “competitors” tag
- New prompts tagged “competitors” are automatically included in future runs

- The tag cannot be recovered
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”Tag operations require specific workspace permissions:
| Action | Required role |
|---|---|
| View tags | Member, Admin |
| Create tags | Admin |
| Assign/remove tags from prompts | Admin |
| Delete tags | Admin |
Users with the Member role can view and filter by tags but cannot create, modify, or delete them.
Best practices
Section titled “Best practices”- Use consistent naming: Establish naming conventions for your team (e.g., all lowercase, hyphens for spaces).
- Keep tags focused: Create tags that reflect how you actually search for prompts. Too many granular tags become hard to manage.
- Align with schedules: If you plan to use tags for scheduling, design your tag structure around your automation needs.
- Review periodically: Remove unused tags to keep the filter bar manageable.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Cannot create or delete tags: Verify your account has Admin permissions.
- Cannot delete a tag: Check if the tag is used by any schedules. Remove it from schedules before deleting.
- Tag not appearing in filter: Refresh the page. If it still doesn’t appear, verify the tag was created successfully.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Schedule prompts by tags to automate analysis for specific groups.
- Create more prompts to expand your monitoring coverage.
